A touch of refined Japanese sweetness to brighten your tea time. HIYORI’s Wasanbon Confectionery Tin combines the traditional Sanuki confection “Oiri” with tea-shaped flowers—meticulously crafted by artisans using Ariheitou sugar and Wasanbon sugar.
While tea flowers typically consist of five petals, a four-petal flower is said to symbolize good luck.
The Oiri, coated with Wasanbon sugar and sencha tea, has a pleasant aroma and an elegant flavor that melts gently in your mouth, piece by piece.

A perfect little treat for tea time.
Additionally, this assortment, presented in HIYORI’s original confectionery tin, is highly recommended as a celebratory gift.

◯ About “Oiri”
These round rice crackers, made from glutinous rice, have been used as celebratory sweets—not only for weddings but also for births and housewarmings—primarily in western Kagawa Prefecture. They are characterized by a light, unique texture that melts softly in your mouth and a cute appearance.

◯ About “Ariheitou sugar”
For over 100 years since its founding. These candy sculptures are crafted by “Shiohoken,” a confectionery shop in Nishijin, Kyoto, that has continued to create traditional Kyoto sweets. Introduced from Portugal in the mid-16th century during the Azuchi-Momoyama period as “Nanban-gashi” (Portuguese-style sweets), this traditional Japanese sugar confection (a type of candy) is made by boiling down sugar with malt syrup, then cooling and hardening the mixture. Each piece is hand-shaped by artisans and is truly a work of art.
