tea stand | Latte and tea ceremony
HIYORI WASANBON tea stand opened in the heart of Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture in May 2024 .
This is a cafe that mainly offers takeout, so you can drop in whenever you like.

We offer basic dark roast coffee and craft tea, as well as drinks made with plenty of Wasanbon sugar, and sweets that are perfect for eating on the go.
Of course, we also have a wide range of HIYORI Wasanbon products.
Why not take a break here between strolling in the nearby Ritsurin Garden or shopping at the arcade?

Among the many items on the menu, HIYORI's three original lattes are popular with customers of all ages and genders.
It is made with high-quality matcha, roasted green tea, and molasses (syrup), with plenty of milk and just wasanbon.
Because it is so incredibly simple, we are extremely particular about each step and the selection of ingredients.
Wasanbon has long been served alongside matcha at tea ceremonies.
The mainstream way to enjoy this is to drink the matcha, called "usucha," before the refined sweetness of the wasanbon has completely dissolved in your mouth, and enjoy the harmony that unfolds as it spreads throughout your mouth.
In addition, wasanbon, which is made using seasonal wooden molds such as cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, and maples, brightens up tea ceremonies. The contrast with the dignified and calm appearance of matcha has captivated people from all over the world.
However, in today's world where coffee, tea, and Western sweets have become commonplace, opportunities to come into contact with Japanese tea and Japanese sweets have become fewer.
It may seem difficult, intimidating, or bitter...but by making it into a creamy, gentle "latte," we can overcome these impressions and make it easy to drink and casual.
I hope you will have the opportunity to discover that Wasanbon and tea can be so delicious.
We hope that HIYORI's latte will be your starting point for an authentic tea ceremony experience.
"Wasanbon Matcha Latte" and "Wasanbon Houjicha Latte" allow you to fully experience the traditional pairing of wasanbon and tea.
The delicious flavor of carefully selected tea leaves and mellow milk are wrapped in the natural sweetness of Wasanbon and come together.
Both are sweetened only with wasanbon sugar, leaving a strong impression with their delicate flavor that melts in your mouth. The molasses sauce topping adds depth to the overall flavor.
The delicious taste lasts from the first sip to the last.
The vivid green color of the Wasanbon Matcha Latte is a perfect balance of bitter and sweet.
We sought to find a combination that would bring out the best in matcha and wasanbon sugar, creating a flavor that you'll want to drink again and again, whatever the season.

The beautiful, mellow brown "Wasanbon Hojicha Latte" has an impressive aroma of Hojicha that spreads the moment you drink it. It's soothing and delicious.
The richness of the molasses and the fragrant, bitter taste of roasted green tea match perfectly to create a very satisfying cup of tea.
These two types are actually special drinks created based on HIYORI's standard product, "Premium Koicha Wasanbon."
The Wasanbon variety also makes a perfect souvenir, so be sure to take your time savoring it with your family and friends.

And then there's the caffeine-free "Molasses Spice Latte," which is good for your body.
Molasses is a rare type of honey extracted from sugar cane during the refining process of wasanbon sugar. It has a rich sweetness and bitter aroma reminiscent of brown sugar and rum.
If you top it with the special spices that are also used in HIYORI's Wasanbon products, it will have an exotic flavor like masala chai. The spices will also warm your body, which is a nice touch.

If you want to fully experience the flavor of the ingredients, you can also customize it by switching from milk to soy milk.
Made with plenty of unsweetened domestic soy milk, it has a slightly sweet taste even when drunk as is. It is lighter than cow's milk, so the flavor of the wasanbon sugar and tea stands out even more.
The crisp ice cream is delicious, but the mild hot coffee is also hard to choose. Choose according to your mood that day.

The fun attention to detail is also apparent in the drink items served.
The rustic-looking cups and straws are made from a fiber called "bagasse," which is produced after sugar cane is squeezed.
The appeal of bagasse is its moderate strength and ease of compression processing. It does not soak as much as paper-based products, so it has a smooth texture. You can enjoy your drink slowly without rushing.
It's a comfortable moment, like enjoying a latte while relaxing in a vast sugarcane field.
Enjoy a "nice day" while imagining the cheerful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea.
